Bethanie Fields

Bethanie Paige Fields started her nursing career at Virginia Highlands Community College in 1996 when she graduated with her Associate of Science degree in Registered Nursing. She continued her education in 2003 by obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Registered Nursing from Old Dominion University. In 2013, Mrs. Fields finished her Master of Art degree in Human Services specializing in Marriage & Family Therapy through Liberty University. Mrs. Fields started teaching for the Washington County Virginia school system in 2012. She teaches Medical Terminology along with Nurse Aide and Introduction to Health & Medical Sciences. She is also certified to teach medication aide, direct support staff & personal care aide. She is an instructor of Heartsaver CPR & AED use, along with first aid, through the American Heart Association. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Fields enjoys working as a nursing supervisor at Grace Health Care of Abingdon. On the weekends, Mrs. Fields often travels all over Virginia working as a Nurse Aide Evaluator proctoring state board exams for nurse aides candidates wishing to get their certification. During her down time, Mrs. Fields prefers to spend time outdoors with her husband and children. Course: Medical Terminology I & II
